You can store your entire family's laundry invisibly in the enormous Aman laundry basket. The round basket is woven from very robust water hyacinth, which can withstand any challenge in the household, no matter how tough it gets. It has two practical handles that help you carry the basket. The material has not been chemically treated and gets its rich, warm color by drying under the tropical Indonesian sun. The basket will spread a cozy, rustic charm in your bathroom or bedroom.
The matching removable lid is included in the delivery, so that the basket can be closed very easily.

Main material: water hyacinth
The water hyacinth is a tropical aquatic plant that grows on rivers and lakes. It actually comes from South America, but was also introduced to Southeast Asia. There it is considered a weed because it multiplies incredibly quickly and can cover entire bodies of water with a carpet of leaves. The resulting lack of light and oxygen causes all underwater life to die, so the plants must be removed regularly. To prepare the plants for further processing, the leaves are cut off and the thick stems are dried in the sun for three to seven days. The result is an abundant, sustainable raw material for many wickerwork here at Soeji!

When selecting our local producers, we attach great importance to fair pay and good working conditions. Only experienced and mature craftsmen work in the companies where we buy our goods.
