Our filigree rattan basket Rahina is available in three different sizes. For exotic houseplants it is the perfect planter with its tropical atmosphere that rattan exudes. The curved pattern in which the rattan is woven gives it a very special charm and makes it an absolute eye-catcher.

Material: rattan
Our baskets are made from vegetable fibers. They smell and therefore feel wonderfully like nature.
Rattan palms usually grow in large numbers in dense forests, where they are considered invasive plants, taking up space from other plants and depleting many nutrients from the soil. The stems, which grow quickly without any chemical additives, must be cut regularly and after the drying process can be used as material for furniture and baskets. This makes rattan an extremely durable and widely available material.

This basket is handmade in Java, Indonesia.
When selecting our local producers, we attach great importance to fair pay and good working conditions. In the factories where we buy our goods, we only work with mature and experienced craftsmen. No harmful chemicals are used in the production process. Because all work steps are done by hand, the production process hardly generates any greenhouse gas emissions.
